Here at Winn Technology group, Veterans Day is very important to us. Not only do we employ numerous veterans and active military families, but we are beyond thankful for service members that have served in our armed forces and those that are still serving.

Veterans day can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s a day off, a day to sleep in. For others, it’s a day that brings back memories, good and bad, of their time in service. And some people celebrate their sacrifices with their free meals and extra discounts.

No matter what Veterans Day means to you, make sure you take the opportunity to thank a veteran today. Their sacrifices are made daily and are often unseen. Take a moment to appreciate the freedoms and safety that you have as a result.

Not only on veterans day but throughout the year, when you recognize a veteran hat, sticker or t-shirt, don't be afraid to say thank you because, as President Reagan once said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same."
