So people are visiting your website, however you’re not seeing the lead volume that should correlate. It is time to start moving potential customers through the lead funnel and convert them. Here are a few ways to move customers through the buyer journey, even when they’ve stalled along the way.

Maintaining a well-built machine

To be efficient at moving buyers through the Buyer’s Journey, you should have a good understanding of what the buyer’s journey is and how it works. The journey goes in steps:

Awareness: This stage is the buyer becoming aware that there may be a problem and looking for what exactly it may be and how to address it.

Consideration: In this stage the buyer has identified their needs and have begun to look at and consider solutions.

Decision: In this stage the buyer has chosen which solution will best suit their needs and will make a purchase.

Each of these steps are focused on the buyer, and where they are at in their journey. This is very different from the marketing funnel idea, simply because the funnel focuses on the seller and not the buyer.

Be observant

To create content your prospects want and need you have to be observant. Ask yourself these questions to help tailor your content to their needs:

What is the most common issue my customers are addressing?

What is the normal purchase timeline?

What is a common objection to my product/service?

Defining these questions and tailoring your content will grab your prospects attention and help them feel confident that you have the experience they want and need when making a purchase.

Be flexible

Not every customer is the same, which means their needs won’t always be the same or even similar. Be prepared for the client that has a unique need and be creative when it comes to leading them through the journey. Tailor emails and phone calls to be about them and their not so common interest in your solution.

Stand out

Its safe to say that remaining the same as your competition won’t help increase your sales. Stay one step ahead and always have an individual flare that your competition lacks. Emphasize unique skills and qualifications that you have and utilize them regularly.

Be transparent

When a customer is in the first stage of the buyer’s journey they are not ready for a phone call or an email. They want answers and tips quickly. Make sure your blog is easy to find and easy to access so that potential customers can find advice easily. This helps when it comes to the buyer’s journey because you’ve now become a brand they rely on and a brand that they trust. This alone will make you a front runner in the competition for their business.
