Many people would like to give back to their community this holiday season, but it can be difficult to determine where your donation will do the most good. Local:
Mission and Vision: Provide stop gap rent and utility assistance, a food pantry, and a clothes closet - at no cost - to those in need in the greater Oldsmar area.
Programs: Food, clothing and health screenings are open to residents in greater Oldsmar. Financial assistance and employment services are available to individuals residing in 34677.
About: F.E.A.S.T. is an independent group of local volunteers serving residents of Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Crystal Beach, Ozona, East Lake and Oldsmar.
Mission: Supplementing the food needs for those who live on fixed incomes, who are out of work or of low income, or who have faced life difficulties ranging from illness to emergencies.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay
About: Caring for a sick child while far away from home is difficult, expensive and unsettling. For 37 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay has been helping children with challenging medical needs, and their families, stay close together during difficult times. Since 1980, our four Tampa Bay Ronald McDonald Houses have comforted and cared for more than 52,000 sick children and their families.
National:
Mission: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Goal: The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
