Maintaining Your Creative Edge While Working From HomeKeeping the creative juices flowing while doing anything can really be hard sometimes. Now that a lot of us find ourselves doing a majority of, if not all, our work from home, this may even be more challenging. But I feel like it may not be as hard as you think, it’s all about perspective, and I have a few tips to help you throughout the day so that you keep your edge.

Overcoming Roadblocks

The challenges you are experiencing are likely similar to what others are going through. Do not let that hold you back and as a matter of fact, embrace it. This is all about keeping an edge, recognizing that this will be difficult, and trying to find some very unique avenues for your creativity that may resonate with your customers or peers.

Everyday Ideas

Let the things that surround you give you inspiration on making something better or spinning a new, fun perspective on things. It was not always fun to see how many Amazon packages you get daily, but today's day and age it is, and you can use that to your advantage. It's all about the scope, and shifting the way you look at day to day life will help inspire you and keep that edge you've always had.

Seek Inspiration

Get out and look for inspiration, get in the car, go on a walk, listen to music, whatever it may take to open your mind and see things in a new light. Look for inspiration outside of your typical day to day work environment. You may find a new hobby out of it and see things differently than before.

Never Forget Your Abilities

Don’t forget what you have accomplished before working from home and how you kept your edge in other ways. Just like athletes that travel the world for the Olympics, their talent didn’t change this is just a new stage in a different area and their hard work and talent remains the same. Just remind yourself of what you have accomplished in the past and that you are capable this is just a new challenge.
