We know that it seems a little unfair that if somebody is already following you, you still have to put in more effort to make sure that they see your posts. Instagram has algorithms in place so that its viewers see what they want to see and the content they need and will enjoy. Here are a few ways to grow your Instagram reach. ### Optimize Did you know that any of the words in your name and bio on Instagram are actually searchable? This means that using keywords and keeping your bio and your name relevant as well as short and sweet is important. Optimizing this portion of your page will help you be more visible to people that aren’t following you. ### Schedule posts Scheduling social posts on all platforms is always a good idea. It can help you post consistently as well as reach your audience at the right times. Posting at the right time will highly depend on who your target audience is. Your buyer personas can tell you when your typical followers will be online. While there are other factors when it comes to showing up on a newsfeed, Instagram will prioritize newer posts. ### Advertise Your IG Advertising your Instagram account doesn’t mean paying for it to be somewhere (although you can place paid Instagram ads, and this is effective). You can use a few methods to send people to your account that is more cost-effective. Some small businesses use car decals to draw in more viewers. Following hashtag trends will increase your likes, shares and boost your algorithm rank seamlessly. ### Content Creating good content will always be the best way to grow your reach. When content is too good, too funny and, too inspiring not to share, your brand reach will grow itself. There are plenty of ways to make great content.
