5 Ways To Make Your Content Easily DigestibleWith an endless amount of content available and attention spans, along with spare time, dropping, making your content easy to scan has become an integral part of content creation.  While your first priority should be to create valuable, entertaining and educational content, structure cannot be ignored.

Short Paragraphs

When creating a blog article, it is best to keep your paragraphs short.  An ideal length would be no more than six lines each.  Large blocks of text can be intimidating and uninviting to the casual reader.  Being concise and getting straight to the point will condense your writing without sacrificing value.

Bullet Points And Numbers

Breaking out key pieces of information into bullet points will make the most important information stand out.  Numbered lists have fallen a bit out of fashion but can still be used to create a highly digestible piece of content.  Bullets and numbers is one of the best ways to optimize your content for scanners.

Subheadings

Subheadings help to structure and organize your writing into clear sections that give the reader an overall concept of your piece.  Subheadings can be used above each paragraph to bring each of your sections together.  They may include a question you’re answering or simply a condensed version of the content to come.

Graphics And Images

Visuals help to draw in the reader and if used correctly can complement your written text.  Graphics can help to communicate complex ideas and statistics in a more understandable way.  Statistics show that “articles with images get 94% more total views”, so not only will images improve readability, they can draw in more readers.

Whitespace

Whitespace is any section of a document that is unused or space around an object. White spaces help separate paragraphs of text, graphics, and other portions of a document, and helps a document look less crowded.”  While it may be tempting to fill each page with text and images, leaving an adequate amount of whitespace is a key ingredient to making a piece more digestible.
