Winn Technology Group was recently nominated for the 2016-2017 Education Business Partner of the Year, presented by The Pinellas Education Foundation.  In an awards ceremony held at the Mahaffey Theater on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, Raymond James took home the honors.  The award is used to recognize contributions from local companies.  The Pinellas Education Foundation noted; “Our business partners are vital to the health of our education system. Through partnerships with local businesses, our students and teachers benefit in a variety of ways. Many businesses adopt a class or a school, donate funds in support of various projects, provide volunteers, tutors and mentors or hold spirit nights for their neighborhood school.”

The Pinellas Education Foundation is a coalition of business and community leaders who work together to improve the quality of public education. They do this by advocating for public education reform, creating programs to improve student and teacher performance, and raising funds for scholarships, grants and teacher recognition. Some of the most successful Foundation programs are Youth Connect, the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program, Enterprise Village and Finance Park, Teach for Excellence Classroom Grants, and the Frances Stavros Career Education Scholarships.
